What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website puts on your device when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to tell the site’s owner how the site is being used. Similar technologies such as pixels and local storage do much the same job, and we mean those too whenever we say “cookies” below.
Your choices
When you first arrive on this website you are asked which cookies you are happy for us to use. Only the cookies needed to make the site work are set before you choose.
You can change your mind at any time by reopening the cookie settings from the link in the footer of any page. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though parts of the site may then stop working properly.
The cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These make the website work and cannot be switched off. They include the cookie that records your cookie choices, cookies that keep forms and pages secure, and — if you are a member of staff — the cookies that keep you signed in to the website’s administration area. These are not used to track you.
Functional
These support features you have asked for. Our enquiry forms and park tour booking calendars are provided by HubSpot, and our park location maps are provided by Google Maps. Both set cookies of their own when those features load, so that they work correctly and so that a form you have already submitted is not shown to you again.
Analytics
These help us understand how people find and use the website — which pages are read, which are not, and where visitors come from — so that we can improve it. The information is used in aggregate. HubSpot also uses its cookies to link an enquiry back to the pages that were read before it was submitted.
Marketing
These may be set by us or by advertising partners to measure how well a campaign has worked and to show you relevant information on other websites. They are only set if you have agreed to them.
Third parties
Some cookies are set by other organisations whose services appear on our pages. We do not control those cookies, and you should read their own policies for the detail:
- HubSpot — enquiry forms, tour booking calendars and analytics.
- Google — maps showing where our parks are.
