Lligwy Beach is one of Anglesey’s hidden gems, with gorgeous golden sands, clean waters and a relaxed vibe thanks to its off the beaten track location. One of the facets which make it such a great location for a traditional British seaside day out are its facilities which include the Lligwy Beach Café.
The Lligwy Beach Café was recently named one of the ten best beach cafes in the UK by The Guardian newspaper and for a very good reason. With mouth-watering freshly made pizzas, invigorating breakfast baps and sensational cakes & pastries, the Lligwy Beach Café is not to be missed.
You can choose to enjoy your refreshments on the beach or in the Lligwy Beach Cafe’s outdoor picnic area, with the friendly staff happy to deliver your food and drinks to your preferred location. The outdoor seating area now also includes an undercover seating section, so that you can continue to enjoy the beautiful coastal vistas in any weather.
All of the food on the Lligwy Beach Café menu is freshly made on-site, with the café serving meals between 9:30 and 4pm on most days. Their breakfast baps are somewhat legendary, providing holiday makers with the perfect accompaniment to start their day out at the seaside on Anglesey.
Throughout the day you can choose from a selection of other freshly made masterpieces including their lunchtime wraps, sandwiches and pasties. However, the headline menu item is unquestionably their freshly made Lligwy Beach pizzas which are stone baked and available with a selection of popular toppings.
The Lligwy Beach café has also recently added a selection of Asian Street Food dishes to its menu. This includes popular options such as Nasi Goreng, Singapore Noodles & Chicken Chow Mein.
Those of you with a sweet tooth are also in for a treat, thanks to their fine selection of cakes and Marshfield Farm ice creams which are the perfect addition to a sunny day out at the beach.
You can also choose from a wide selection of hot and cold beverages. This includes a quality selection of beers, ciders, wines and gin’s which are ideal for helping you chill out and make the most of the sunshine. These are available alongside hot drinks such as teas, coffees and hot chocolates, and refreshing cold drinks. You are also entitled to free water top ups if you bring your own bottle with you.
If you are planning on sampling the Lligwy Beach Café produce, we would recommend checking that they are open before making your trip. The café tends to close during off-peak seasons or at times when the weather conditions are inclement. You can keep up to date with the Lligwy Beach Café opening times over on their website.
