Silver Bay Beach

Silver Bay beach has recently been awarded a Green Coast Award on account of the quality of its waters. The cleanliness of the waters and tranquil nature of the beach make it a fantastic place for fishing. Prime months for fishing at Silver Bay beach tend to be between July and October, with dawn and dusk being the optimal times of day. It is during this period that you will find the area swarming with mackerel, pollack, cod and tope to name but a few.

Whilst rock fishing is popular at Silver Bay beach, those of you who have a pair of sea legs can also spread their horizons a little further on a sea fishing trip. You can either catch a sea fishing charter from nearby Holyhead or even head out on your own ship if you have taken advantage of the complementary harbour space allotted to you as part of your holiday home ownership package at Silver Bay Holiday Park.

Head to Our Sister Park

If you fancy a bit of a change of scenery, then you will have plenty of areas on Anglesey to choose from. One of which is located just a couple of miles away from our sister park Woodland Falls Holiday Park. Moelfre beach is a peaceful shingle beach which offers plenty of free parking spaces if you are travelling by car. You will find the waters here swarming with mackerel, dogfish, wrasse and many other species.

If you’ve made the effort to head down to Moelfre beach at dawn, then we’d highly recommend treating yourself to a breakfast at Traeth Bychan Beach Shop & Café. During the course of the day, you may also want to pay a visit to The Oaklands Bar Lounge at our Woodland Falls sister park.
