Local Area: Things to do in Rhoscolyn

Best Things to do in Rhoscolyn

Silver Bay Holiday Park is situated in the friendly village of Rhoscolyn, just a short drive away from the more famous seaside town of Trearddur Bay. However, there is no need to venture too far from the village in order to have a great time with there being plenty of great places to visit and things to do in Rhoscolyn for all members of the family.

We thought it would be helpful for our holiday home owners at Silver Bay if we put together a short selection of what we consider to be the best things to do in Rhoscolyn based on our own personal experiences living in the area.

Doggo Friendly Beach at Silver Bay Anglesey

Head to the Beach

Silver Bay Holiday Park is situated right next to Silver Bay beach, otherwise known as Rhoscolyn Beach. Our holiday home owners enjoy having direct access to this award winning beach which boasts beautiful golden sands and clean waters.

This is the perfect destination for a family day out at the seaside, with the soft sands being ideal for building sandcastles and the local rock formation at either end of the beach providing ample rock pooling opportunities. You can simply take the short walk from your holiday home, with a bucket and spade in hand, and enjoy a fun filled family day out. There’s no need for a car, or parking. Everything you need is just a short walk away.

The facilities are limited here to nothing more than a few picnic benches. This is on account of its off-the-beaten-track location which ensures that you don’t have to battle the crowds. It’s all about peace and relaxation, sharing the beach with fellow members of our holiday home owner community.

Go for a Walk

If a day on the beach isn’t quite right for you and you would prefer to be on the go, then why not go for a walk along the famous Anglesey Coastal Path?

Again, our resort provides you with direct access to this walking path which extends for over 125 miles around the island. Obviously, no one is expecting you to go all the way around the island. You can simply do whatever length is right for you.

The Anglesey Coastal Path is also dog friendly, so feel free to take your four legged companion on the walk with you. They will be sure to love the fresh sea air and varied terrain just as much as the humans of the group.

There are some truly stunning coastal vistas to observe along the Anglesey Coastal Path. So remember to take your phone or camera so that you can take a few pictures. Feel free to send them to the Silver Bay team on Facebook. We love to keep up to date with our holiday home owners many adventures in the local area around Anglesey.
